Since his first title in 2008, Marin has remained a top threat on the ATP tour. Marin has played in 37 tournament finals and holds a career winning percentage of over 65%. At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics Marin and his childhood friend, Ivan Dodig, took home the doubles Silver medal. 

2014

2014 US Open Singles Title

Marin entered the 2014 US Open as a 14-seed. His path to the finals included a third-round win over Kevin Anderson and a semifinal defeat of Roger Federer. In the finals, Marin faced Kei Nishikori of Japan, winning the match in straight sets which ultimately earned Marin his first Grand Slam title.

2018

2018 Davis Cup Title - Croatia

Entering the 2018 Davis Cup as a 4-seed, Team Croatia defeated Canada, Kazakhstan, and the United States, which led them to the finals against the top-seeded French team. Marin’s second match win in the finals against Lucas Pouille secured Team Croatia’s second-ever Davis Cup tournament title.
