The project aims to support youth and children committed to excellence in sports and music who need additional support to develop their abilities and interests to the highest level possible. The scholarships are to be used for the exclusive purpose of further developing their potential and are awarded to the selected candidates based on the specified criteria, which gives preference to candidates with exceptional results coming from socio-economically disadvantaged families.
In 2018 MCF awarded a total of 15 scholarships: one top scholarship for a classical music student at university, five scholarships for students of elementary and secondary music schools, nine scholarships for young athletes from secondary schools. Scholarships are intentional and can only be used for further training such as seminars, contests, purchase of musical aids or sports equipment or any other cost related to students’ musical or sport development.
