Croatia Completed an Incredible Comeback in Portland to beat United States 3-2 in Davis Cup Quarter-Final

Croatia was 2-0 down after the Friday matches after Marin Cilic and Borna Coric both lost their singles rubber against Jack Sock and John Isner.
Željko Krajan, the Croatian coach, managed to keep the tie alive on Saturday and substituted his team: Marin Cilic was in, Marin Draganja was out, as the Bryan brothers were the opponents for the doubles clash.
This change proved to be decisive and the duo of Marin and Ivan Dodig caused a huge upset with a win that boosted the team’s confidence.
On Sunday, Marin beat John Isner in straight sets and Borna Coric completed the great comeback in the fifth and final rubber, to send Croatia through to the semi-final.

The Croatian team will meet France on September 16-18 in Croatia for a place in the final.
