The phrase “Good things come to good people” seems particularly fitting during the holiday season. The holidays bring us closer to one another and the desire to support those in need becomes even stronger. This year the Marin Cilic Foundation spent the advent season at the unique Fuliranje event in Zagreb, showcasing our work and mission of supporting children in reaching their full potential. This year’s event, hosted in front of the Esplanade Hotel Zagreb, offered exquisite gastronomy and entertainment from local favorites. In addition to good food and a good time, attendees of Fuliranje were able to do good. Visitors to the foundation’s holiday booth could walk away with a Christmas ornament designed by our partners at Kofer.design and feel good about donating toward MCF’s scholarship fund for young Croatian musicians and athletes.
The Foundation teamed up with the instagram profile VolimHrvatsku to create an Advent Auction Calendar where a new auction item was introduced every other day between 4 December – 24 December. Bidders could place their offers for a chance to own personalized messages & sports memorabilia from some of Croatia’s biggest stars, such as Lovro Majer, Luka Modrić, Domagoj Duvnjak, Ivan Rakitić, and Ivica Zubac. The proceeds from this holiday fundraiser will cover 7 scholarships for young talented Croatian athletes & musicians. We believe the future belongs to young people and with the help of our donors, we are able to provide the support these children need to continue developing into the best versions of themselves.
